Adding a Board/Committee/Commission

The board/committee/commission content type is managed through a CRD webservice. Nodes are created dynamically.  The content that populates dynamically is added to fields in the CRD Services Data (do not modify) accordion. 

Clicking on Board/Committee/Commission information tab will show the following fields that can be added manually:

  • Vacancy notice: WYSIWYG for content related to vacancy on the board/committee/commission.
  • Terms of reference: Select a media item.
  • Community: To associate a board/committee/commission with a specific community you need to manually select a community checkbox within each node. This will dynamically feature the identified board/committee/commission on the relevant community page(es). 
  • Related links: Add a URL and link text to an internal or external page source. 

Editing a Board/Committee/Commission

  1. To edit a specific node, click on Content in the Drupal toolbar.
  2. Filter by the Board/Committee/Commission content type.
  3. Click to edit the specific node. Make your desired edits.
  4. Make sure that Published is selected in the dropdown menu, and click Save.

Content sharing

Board/Committee/Commission content type nodes can also be displayed on an associated Community content type node if desired. See the Community content type page for additional information.

Integrations

CRD Services

The Board/Committee/Commission is integrated with the CRD API's Committee Service through the CRD Services custom module using feeds to synchronize the list of boards, committees and commissions and its appointee memberships that is populated on the Committees & Commissions page.

The Board/Committee/Commission that are marked inactive from the API have the "(No longer active)" appended to it and does not display other related content types like meetings or webcasts. The functionality to subscribe via Constant Contact has also been removed for inactive Board/Committee/Commission.

Constant Contact

Auto-create Board/Committee/Commission

Each Board/Committee/Commission content has a corresponding contact list in Constant Contact. This contact list is automatically created when a new Board/Committee/Commission is created.

Subscribe to Board/Committee/Commission

To subscribe to a Board/Committee/Commission:

  1. Navigate to the Committees & Commissions page 
  2. Choose a committee/commission and scroll to the bottom
  3. Open the Subscribe for Updates accordion
  4. Enter the email and confirm the email of the user
  5. Click Subscribe

Send a Mailout to Board/Committee/Commission Subscribers

Sending a mailout to a Board/Committee/Commission subscribers are done from the Meetings content which is referenced from a Board/Committee/Commission content.
